Foster-to-Adopt
So You’re thinking aBout adopting but want to foster the cat first…this is the program for you!
Our Foster-to-Adopt Program is available for cats currently not in the lounge. These cats are available to be fostered before their adoption is finalized. Since you are not able to meet the kitty first, we offer a foster period of seven days for you to see if it's a good fit. You will take them home and get to know their personality over the week. If after seven days all is going well, we would finalize the adoption paperwork.
The cats in the lounge at The Catcade are not available for Foster-to-Adopt. Only the cats listed on this page are available for FTA.
If there is a cat below that interests you, please email Christine at adopt(at)thecatcade.org
Opal - female, 1 year old
As beautiful as a gem, this stunning longhair girl is ready for her forever. At just one year old, she still has a good amount of kitten energy and loves to chase after balls (paper are her favorite). She’s a sucker for pets and always wants to be around her people. When you return home she will greet you at the door and is happy to make new human friends.
Opal’s ideal home would either be as a solo cat or slow introductions with a chill cat.

Idaho Baked Potato - male, 7 years old *adoption pending
My favorite food group, this thic boy is gooey goodness. He has a low/medium amount of energy and enjoys nothing more than a lap of cuddles. He loves to give hugs and is happy to be held like the little baby he is. He loves chin and neck sritches as well just don’t fall for victim to his belly-rub pleas because that’s exactly the trap he’s trying to get you to fall into.
Idaho Baked Potato’s ideal home would be one where he can be the only kitty.
Medical costs: $100
Cass - male, 4 years old
Cass is a handsome boy ready to make his way into your heart and home. He’s a snuggler but happy to entertain himself as well by chasing toys around the home. When not hanging out with his people, he enjoys posting up in front of the window to bathe in sun and watch birds. Cass is a big boy at 13lbs but he’s just a baby and sometimes startles at loud noises.
Cass’ ideal home would be a quieter home with or without another chill cat.

Amelie - female, 3 years old
Oh you want a princess? Meet Amelie. Her forever home must note that she needs to have boxes at all times, she demands it! She also requires being told how perfect, stunning, and beautiful she is at all times. While a little shy at first, once she’s comfortable, she’s happy to make your lap her throne. Her weakness is catnip toys and she’ll abandon his royal title to get down and dirty with catnip toys. In her spare time, she’s a vocal artist and likes to hear herself sing!
Medical costs: $100
Pumpkin Puff - male, 5 years old *adoption pending
If you ask my coworkers, they’ll say I’m a sucker for an ginger fluffy cat, and they would be correct. Look at this majestic creature that is ready to chat you up and lay in your lap of love. Pumpkin Puff was found on the streets before being brought inside by a Good Samaritan. Pumpkin Puff now enjoys chatting about the finer things in life and making up for all the attention he never got before. He loves to be by his people, likes interactive toys, and prefers to be in a lap at all times.
Pumpkin Puff would likely do best as the only cat in the home. He had one of his toes amputated due to injury but it is healed and totally fine besides being one bean down.

Heidi - female, 3 years old
Heidi reminds me of me, always looking mildly concerned and unable to hid any emotions from her face. It’s not her fault the sideeye comes so naturally, it’s a burden few of us must carry. Also like me though, she really just wants love and attention and acceptance. So let her sit in your lap and tell her how perfect she is and she’ll reward you with kisses (tbd if I’ll do the same). Heidi enjoys pets and affection and has a medium amount of energy.
Heidi’s ideal home would be one where she can be the only cat in the home.

Copper - male, 3 years old
This boy’s story is one of the sadder ones we’ve come across lately. The good news is that’s in his past and now he’s getting a second chance and we won’t let him down. This buff man is a good mix of everything, playful, affectionate, and knows when it’s time for snacks. What more could you ask for? Copper has sweet chirps to remind you when it’s feeding time. In return, he’ll bestow plenty of snuggles and affection and he doesn’t mind being picked up. He has a decent amount of energy so wand toys are a must!
We think Copper would probably do best on his own!
Medical costs: $100
Cayde - male, 2 years old
It’s hard to show just how large this boy is, but at almost 16 lbs, you can be sure he’s a hefty house panther. Not only is he a big boi, but he also has a big personality! He loves to play with just about any toy he can. Cayde is not only beautiful, but smart too! He’s currently learning clicker training in his foster home and is able to sit, high-five, and low-five already. With more time, who knows what he might learn!? Thankfully, being food motivated is helpful.
Cayde’s ideal home would be one where he is the only cat in the home.
Medical costs: $100
Pure Magic - female, 3 years old
Pure Magic is purely delightful. As you can see from her pictures, she has a zest for playing and enjoys a the wand toy. She also loves to be where her people are, whether that’s the same room, same couch, same bed, she’ll be there. She loves pets and face kisses and will even allow for the ever dangerous belly rubs. Like any good girl, Pure Magic is food motivated and loves her snacks so her forever home better be well stocked!
Pure Magic can be adopted as a solo kitty or with another playful cat.
